Marketplace Acceptable Use & Content Policy

1. Scope and Versic's Role

This policy governs every listing, file, message, and transaction on the Versic marketplace, where sellers offer instant-delivery digital audio such as samples, tracks, beat packs, sound kits, and mixtapes. Versic is a technology platform and venue only. Versic is not the merchant of record and is not a party to any sale. The seller is the merchant of record and is solely responsible for the product they list.

Payments are processed through Stripe using direct charges on the seller's own Standard connected account. The seller bears the Stripe processing fee, and Versic takes no commission or cut on sales. Because the seller owns the customer relationship and the funds, the seller is also responsible for the conduct described below. By listing or buying on Versic, you agree to this policy. It works alongside the Seller Agreement and the DMCA & Copyright Policy.

2. You May Only List Audio You Own or Have Full Rights To

Every file you list must be original work that you created, or work for which you hold all rights necessary to sell and license it to buyers. This includes the rights to any underlying compositions, recordings, samples, vocals, and software-instrument output contained in the file. If a third party contributed to a track, you must have written permission or a clearance covering the exact use you are selling.

You are responsible for granting buyers a valid license for the product you sell, and for the accuracy of any license terms you display. If you cannot prove you have the rights to a sound, do not list it.

3. Prohibited Content

The following are not permitted in any listing, file, preview, artwork, or description: uncleared samples or interpolations; stolen, leaked, or unreleased material you are not authorized to distribute; other artists' copyrighted recordings or compositions used without a license; content that infringes trademarks, logos, or brand names; and producer drum kits, loops, or presets repackaged from sources you do not have the right to resell.

Also prohibited: hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content; content that is illegal or promotes illegal activity; sexually exploitative material; files that contain malware, viruses, hidden executables, or anything designed to harm a buyer's device; and listings whose title, description, artwork, audio preview, genre, tempo, or key materially misrepresent what the buyer will actually receive.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You may not steer buyers off-platform to avoid Stripe processing or to complete a marketplace-originated sale through an outside payment method. Because charges run directly on your own Standard connected account and Versic takes no cut, fee circumvention is not about protecting a commission; it exists to keep buyers protected by the disclosed checkout flow and to prevent the abuse patterns below.

The following are also prohibited: posting fake reviews or fake sales, or manipulating ratings, download counts, or rankings; coordinated price manipulation or deceptive discounting; initiating or inducing fraudulent chargebacks, or disputing legitimate charges to obtain free product; using bots to scrape listings, audio, metadata, or buyer information; circumventing a suspension or ban; and operating multiple accounts to evade enforcement.

5. Quality and Labeling Expectations

Listings must accurately describe the product. Audio previews must come from the actual files being sold. Stated specifications, such as format, bit depth, tempo, key, stem count, and the number of items in a pack, must match the delivered files. License terms, including any limits on commercial use, exclusivity, or stream counts, must be clearly stated and honored.

Because products are delivered instantly on payment, buyers rely entirely on your labeling. Misleading, incomplete, or low-effort listings that do not match what is delivered may be removed even if the underlying audio is otherwise permitted.

6. Instant Digital Delivery and Buyer Disputes

Marketplace products are digital audio delivered immediately upon successful payment. Because the seller is the merchant of record, the seller is solely responsible for refunds, chargebacks, and disputes relating to their sales, and for setting and communicating any refund policy. Versic does not hold seller funds and does not adjudicate the merits of a sale.

Sellers are also solely responsible for their own taxes, including sales tax, VAT, and income tax arising from their sales. Nothing in this policy makes Versic responsible for fulfillment quality, licensing accuracy, or the tax obligations of any seller.

7. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this policy may result in removal of an individual listing or file, temporary suspension of selling privileges, or permanent termination of an account. Repeat or egregious violations, including copyright infringement, fraud, or distributing malware, may lead to immediate termination without prior notice.

Versic may withhold or reverse access to platform features, remove a seller from the marketplace, and report unlawful activity to Stripe or to law enforcement. Because funds settle directly to the seller's connected account, any obligation to refund affected buyers or to resolve disputes remains with the seller, and Stripe's own terms and reserve or clawback rights apply independently of this policy.

8. Reporting Violations

If you believe a listing violates this policy, you can report it from the listing itself or by contacting us at trust@versic.app. Please include the listing link and a brief description of the problem. Claims of copyright or trademark infringement should follow the takedown process in our DMCA & Copyright Policy, which requires the specific information that process describes.

9. Monitoring and Enforcement Discretion

Versic may, but is not obligated to, monitor, review, or screen marketplace content. We may remove any content, restrict any listing, or suspend any account at our discretion, with or without notice, when we believe this policy or applicable law has been violated, or to protect buyers, sellers, or the platform.

The absence of monitoring or the presence of a listing does not imply that Versic has reviewed, endorsed, or verified it, and does not shift any responsibility from the seller to Versic. Enforcement of one violation does not waive our right to act on another.

10. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as the marketplace evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date above, and your continued use of the marketplace after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. This policy should be read together with the Seller Agreement and the DMCA & Copyright Policy.
